Mohawk Avenue School was thrilled to welcome New York Times bestselling author Katherine Applegate for a special visit that inspired students to discover the power of reading, writing, and imagination. Best known for beloved books including The One and Only Ivan and most recently, Wombat Waiting, Applegate shared insights into her writing journey. Her visit left a lasting impression on the school community and sparked excitement for literature among young readers and aspiring writers alike. Thank you to Ms. Freda for working with Sparta Books to make this wonderful event possible.
