What qualifies a student for a 504?

Any student that is diagnosed with a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities.

The law defines major life activities to include โ€œfunctions such as caring for one's self, performing manual tasks, walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, breathing, learning, and working. This list is not exhaustive.โ€
