    Mrs. Ferraro

    The 2018-2019 school year will be Mrs. Ferraro’s fourth year as the Principal of Sparta High School.  Prior to becoming the principal, she served as a vice principal for five years, and a teacher and coach at Sparta High for 23 years.  Before coming to Sparta, Mrs. Ferraro spent two years teaching in Hunterdon County.  She holds a  Bachelor and Masters degree in Education from East Stroudsburg University as well her Education Leadership certification from The University of Scranton. Mrs. Ferraro is proud to be a part of the Spartan Family and is looking forward to a great school year.

    Mr. Fitzgerald

    The 2018-2019 school year will be Mr. Fitzgerald’s fourth year as the Assistant Principal of Sparta High School.  Prior to becoming the assistant principal, he served as Director of Guidance for four years and a school counselor and coach for five years at Sparta High School.  Before coming to Sparta, Mr. Fitzgerald spent ten years teaching and coaching in Passaic County.  He holds a Bachelor degree from East Stroudsburg University, Masters in Counseling at William Paterson University and second Masters in Educational Leadership at New Jersey City University.  Mr. Fitzgerald loves coming to work everyday and looks forward to working with students and staff in order to make Sparta High School the best school around!

    Mr. Schels

    Mr. Schels joined the Sparta Township School District in 2006 as a social studies teacher after spending the first 10 years of his career at Pequannock Township High School in Morris County.  In 2011, he became the Social Studies Supervisor for Grades 6-12, a role that evolved into K-12 supervision of social studies and World Languages.  Beginning in 2016, Mr. Schels embarked on a new phase of his professional journey by becoming one of the vice principals of Sparta High School.  He possesses a B.A. in history from Rutgers University, an Ed.M in social studies education from Rutgers University and an M.S. in Educational Administration from the University of Scranton.  Mr. Schels is proud to be a member of the Sparta Learning Community and looks forward to the 2017-2018 school year being the next step in the ongoing process of continual improvement.  If, at any time, you are not able to locate the information you need, please feel free to contact our school's main office.
