Space Club

  • Sparta High School's Space Club's members will observe space through the school's Meade LX200 telescope. Members will learn about space through hands-on experiences. Some of the activities will include telescope viewings of Uranus at opposition, a full moon, the conjunction of Venus and Jupiter, and Mercury at Greatest Eastern Elongation. Other experiences will include the collection of micrometeriorites on school grounds, tracking/positioning of stars using planispheres, and learning about celestial objects and anomalies. All are welcome!
