The American Red Cross Club

  • The American Red Cross school clubs are school-based service groups that help the Red Cross fulfill its humanitarian mission. Working closely with the local Red Cross unit, club members participate in Red Cross service projects that impact their school and community. Our goal is to improve the lives of fellow students and others who live in the community. Student members will discover many new opportunities for self-development and be encouraged to choose activities that will most effectively fulfill the community’s greatest needs. Some of these activities will be: conducting a fundraiser for a local disaster, creating first-aid kits for students to put in their cars, assembling comfort kits and cleanup kits for those affected by disaster, sending greeting cards to people in the armed forces stationed overseas, helping to coordinate the blood drive, and collecting and distributing toys to disaster victims during the holidays. Red Cross school clubs are a team effort, where Red Cross units, schools and students all work together to make their communities and the world a better place and where young people develop leadership skills.
