Theater Productions - Overview
Sparta High School theatre programs have an excellent reputation for the quality of their productions and the skill of its performers. The primary purpose of these performance clubs is to produce two full-length theatrical productions during each school year - the Fall Drama and Spring Musical. In addition, the clubs provide theatrical exposure and experiences, as well as life-long lessons. Technical proficiencies learned include acting skills, speech and voice, movement, timing, and memorization. Life-long lessons include confidence, poise, communication skills, respect, teamwork, responsibility, dedication, fun and an aesthetic appreciation for the theater arts.
Many of the SHS students involved in our theater programs have gone on to successfully perform in college, community, and professional productions.
