Grading System Information

    A+ = 98-100, A = 93-97, A- =90-92
    B+ = 87-89, B = 83-86, B- = 80-82
    C+ = 77-79, C = 73-76, C- = 70-72
    D+ = 67-69, D =63-66, D- = 60-62
    F = 0-59

    Additional Grade Codes
    INC = Incomplete
    W = Withdrew Passing
    WF = Withdrew Failing
    LC = Loss of Credit
    AUD = Audit

    Student course performance will be evaluated on a numerical grading system that ranges from 100 - 0. Varied learning experiences contribute to educational growth and will be taken into consideration when evaluating course achievement.

    A+ = 4.5, A = 4.0, A- = 3.75, B+ = 3.5, B = 3.0, B- = 2.75, C+ = 2.5,
    C = 2.0, C- = 1.75, D+ = 1.5, D = 1.0, D- = .75 and F = 0, W = 2.0, WF = 0

    Note: Weighted courses with a grade of C or better receive one half additional quality point. 

    Starting with the Class of 2016
    Honors courses with the numerical equivalent of a C or better will receive an additional one half quality point. AP courses with the numerical equivalent of a C or better will receive one additional full quality point.

Final Exam Excuses and Exemptions

  • Seniors will be excused from final exams if they carry a combined 90 average over four marking periods. The determination will be made at the end of the fourth quarter.

    Students taking AP courses will be exempt from that course's final exam if they have a B average in each of the four marking periods and taking the AP exam.
