    Mr. Gregory

    The 2017-2018 school year will be Mr. Gregory’s fourth year at the Sparta Middle School, and twenty third year in education. He has served the Sparta School district for eighteen years as an assistant principal and principal. Previously to working in Sparta, he began his career as a teacher at Randolph High School. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from William Paterson University and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from New Jersey City University. Outside of school Mr. Gregory enjoys reading (James Patterson & Harlan Coben), jogging, biking, and golf (he longs to beat Mr. Leone and Mr. Ciaburri). He resides in Hampton with his wife and two children.

    Mr. Davis

    The 2017-2018 school year will be  Mr. Davis’ twelfth year at Sparta Middle School, and his nineteenth year in education. Previously to working in Sparta, he was an English teacher in Mahwah, NJ and before that he worked in Paterson at Eastside High School, also teaching English. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Montclair State University and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from William Paterson University and he is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Outside of school he enjoys coaching baseball, reading, playing guitar and spending time with his family. As a Sparta resident, he is committed to making sure Sparta continues to be the best place there is to live and raise a family. 

    Mrs. Rivera

    The 2017-2018 school year will be Mrs. Rivera's fifth year at Sparta Middle School, and her eighteenth year in education.  She has served the Sparta School District for seven years as a Language Arts Supervisor and an Assistant Principal.  Previous to working in Sparta, she began her career on Long Island teaching regular education, special education, and became a Reading Specialist.  She attended Dowling College where she earned a dual Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Literature and a dual Masters Degree in Literacy and Special Education.  She attended the Foundation for Educational Administration for her Leadership Degree.  Outside of school Mrs. Rivera enjoys spending time with her family, reading, baking, decorating, and crafting.  She resides in Roxbury with her husband, two children, and very large dog.
