The Sparta Middle School believes in promoting good character and follows the SIX PILLARS of good character as stated in the "Character Counts" program.
The six pillars are: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
The teachers at Sparta Middle School make it a point to honor students who demonstrate good character on a daily basis in the classroom setting. Character Counts Lunches are another way students are reminded about the importance of demonstrating good character. At the conclusion of each marking period, two students from each team are nominated by the teachers as a "Student of the Marking Period." This is another way Sparta Middle School recognizes good character.
