Apply for a PIN number if you are going to be applying for financial aid online. The PIN will allow you to electronically sign the financial aid application, correct application data on the Web, and to electronically sign loan promissory notes. Students and parents are encouraged to apply for PINs before they start filling out the electronic FAFSA.
