If you are eligible to participate at a Division I or II college as a freshman student-athlete, you must register with the NCAA Eligibility Center as early as the end of your junior year of high school.  The eligibility center evaluates your academic record to determine if you meet NCAA requirements.  It does not guarantee your admission to any college.  The eligibility center will provide eligibility information only to colleges that request your academic information.   
  
Eligibility Requirements for NCAA Division I
  
16 Core Courses:
4 years of English
3 years of mathematics
(Algebra 1 or higher)
2 years of natural/physical science
(1 year of lab)
1 year of additional English, math or
natural/physical science
2 years of social science
4 years of additional courses
(from any area above, foreign
language or nondoctrinal religion/
philosophy)
  
* Sliding scale for Core Grade Point Average/Test Scores
  
Eligibility Requirements for NCAA Division II
  
14 Core Courses:
3 years of English
2 years of mathematics
(Algebra 1 or higher)
2 years of natural/physical science
(1 year of lab)
2 years of additional English, math
or natural/physical science
2 years of social science
3 years of additional courses
(from any area above, foreign
language or nondoctrinal religion/
philosophy)
  
* Minimum GPA is 2.0, minimum
SAT is 820 and ACT sum score is 68
