Welcome to the New Teacher Induction program website. This website is dedicated to the new teaching staff in Sparta, including those who have taught in previous districts as well as those who are new to the teaching profession. The goal of this site is to serve as a resource and extension of the monthly meetings the new teaching staff will attend throughout the course of the school year. This site contains general information regarding the new teacher induction program, presentations, handouts, web resources that you can use in developing curriculum and classroom instruction, and ideas for integrating technology with instructional strategies.

Our focus for the monthly meetings will be addressing the research-based instructional strategies as found in the book Classroom Instruction that Works by Robert Marzano, Jane Pollack, and Debra Pickering. As each meeting passes, we will be adding more resources to this site to help supplement each instructional strategy.
